About the Quality

    • In Italy there is no set standard of quality description for the production of pellets . The phenomenon of " pellet " is very recent and was born so spontaneous. The customer has to choose the fuel without being able to rely on brands or symbols typical of some of the industry specific legislation. With the expansion of the market then increased the number of producers. This has impacted significantly on the market , quality and price of pellets.
    •  As of today in the market you can find pellets of all kinds. Aiel ( Italian association energies agroforestry ) created the unique system of attestation (not certified ) quality in Italy, defined gold pellets , an attestation system above the parties, based on clear rules of operation designed to determine that the product meets the requirements specified in the referenced documents .
    • It is based on the standards CEN / TS I 4961 I, DINPlus , OENORM M 7135 and the limitations introduced by the Pellet Fuel Institute ( PFI ) American . A further requirement is not present in any other certification system is the content of radioactivity and formaldehyde (found in glues and paints potentially hazardous to health ) .
    • The first rule is to choose a good pellet observe : a good pellet should be shiny and smooth , with a regular length and should be a little dusty . In general , we can say that the pellet is best obtained from virgin wood of beech and fir , which then has to have a light-colored or "white."
    • An important factor for the quality of the pellets as a fuel is the dust content of the product. The dust may be generated during the production , processing plant and during transport to packing occurred but is expected to remain below 8 percent. The dust that is generated during the production normally is removed from the producer.
    • The powder and the pellet easily separate during use, this results in a heterogeneous material that causes an irregular supply of fuel.
